Training For Professionals

Internships
The Early Childhood Parenting Center is accredited to train student-interns from many local graduate schools, including Antioch University, CSU Northridge, Ryokan College, Phillips Graduate Institute and Santa Barbara Graduate Institute.
Our programs provide hands-on experience in a clinical training site and allow interns to learn from skilled professionals in a warm, caring environment.
Our student-interns participate as team members in the infant and toddler groups, working under the supervision of group leaders and child development specialists. They also participate in team discussions after each group, attend a weekly staff meeting and respond to Warm Line calls. The time commitment for student-interns ranges from 6 to 12 hours per week.
The graduates of our program benefit from the extensive network of Early Childhood Parenting Center graduates and volunteer professionals.
Our graduates are working in all facets of early childhood development, ranging from private practice to early childhood schools.
